Privacy Policy

This is the personal blog of Pavan Tikkani. It exists so I can write about technology, programming, movies, F1, and whatever else is on my mind. This page explains, in plain English, what happens to your data when you visit — the short version is: not much.

No accounts, no tracking cookies

There are no user accounts, sign-ups, or logins on this site. The site does not set any tracking or advertising cookies, and there are no third-party analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Facebook pixel, or anything similar). The only thing stored in your browser is a small preference in localStorageremembering whether you chose light or dark mode. That preference never leaves your device and is not sent anywhere.

View counts

Each post shows a view count. When you open a post, the site increments a single number for that post in its database. It stores only the count — no IP addresses, no identifiers, nothing tied to you personally. It's a tally, not a profile.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers automatically process basic request data (such as your IP address and browser user-agent) to serve pages and keep the service running. That handling is covered by Vercel's privacy policy, not by me — I don't have my own analytics dashboard reading that data.

Links and sharing

Posts here may be shared to social platforms like X/Twitter or LinkedIn, and posts may link out to other sites. Once you follow a link away from this blog, the privacy practices of that other site apply — not this one.
